Furat Qadduori
(Qanun)

was born in Baghdad. 1975-86 he studied there at the Music and Ballet School, 1986-92 at the Institute of Musical Studies (diploma - honour class), 1992-95 at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Baghdad University.

He then worked as Music Teacher at the Music and Ballet School and as music instructor at the Baghdad Institute of Musical Studies, instructor at Dar Al Salaam Center, later as a music teacher at the New English School, Amman, Jordan and at the Arabic Cultural Center in Belgium.

He regularly performs and records with the Mesopotamia Band, Akad Group, Babylon Band,
The New Day Band, Sidara Group,
Lagash Group and SARBAND.

At the International Kanun Assembly within Jerash Festival, Jordan, he was classified among the top ten.
